Bighorn National Forest, Buffalo Bill Dam and YELLOWSTONE!!!

**Warning this is a very picture heavy post**

Wow, what a day it was. The drive from Custer, SD to Yellowstone was quite an adventure. We departed Custer sometime around 3:30 a.m. and little did we know that the main road to the interstate was under construction, was one lane in some places and very muddy. It was quite scary driving on those roads without driving rain and it being pitch-black dark out, but I pushed on. We made it to Wyoming just before dawn, where we stopped to refuel and we were able to catch the sunrise.

We drove to Sheridan, WY where we were able to pick up some necessary camping supplies: a new tent!, more water and some extra propane for the camp stove. We were also able to repack the car and get everything back in order and make it so that I could once again see out the back window safely.

Not long after departing from Sheridan, WY we headed into the Big Horn National Forest. What a beautiful place, although my car did not appreciate all the steep mountain grades and the switchbacks, especially when it was covered in muddy clay from the construction earlier that morning. We were able to take some cool pictures at a roadside stream, as well as, throughout the forest before coming back into "civilization"."

Along the road into Yellowstone we came across the Buffalo Bill Dam which was pretty cool.

After the dam, we were getting close to Yellowstone. :) We arrived in Yellowstone sometime in the early afternoon on Thursday. We entered via the East Entrance, near Cody, WY. We traveled through the park making a few stops to check out Yellowstone Lake and some of the thermal areas within the lake, before heading down to Grant Village, our campground for the next few days.

We visited so many amazing things while in Yellowstone, its hard to list them all so instead I will just let the photos do the talking. I hope you enjoy.
